The same Bible story is used in each unit. Instead of tiring of hearing the same story for the 4 or 5 weeks, the children are delighted to have mastered it by the end of the unit.
Suggested actions or questions are included with the story text. Figures are included in the unit resources which can be used as "flannelgraph" pictures by printing them out, cutting them out, (preferably laminating them), then putting a piece of tape or sticky-backed Velcro on the back of each for stickability to the felt of a story board. These figures are also used in the Bible story review game suggested for use as an Intake Activity or as an Optional Reinforcement Activity during play time. The story and smaller versions of the pictures are also included in the Take & Tell Craft for week 4, and in the Take Home Resources for parents.
The story is included the Teach, Take & Tell Books in large print version so that you can see the text easily as you put the flannelgraph pictures on the board. If you desire a smaller print version, it is available online with the other resources for the particular BIg Question Unit you are on.
