The Bible verse for each unit is introduced with the Bible chant. It is printed out on a 8 ½" x 11" sign and placed before class in the class Bible. After saying the Bible chant, the teacher or a designated child will pick up the Bible and hand it to the teacher to show and read to the children.
After hearing the Bible verse, the teacher and the children sing the Bible Verse song. The Bible song is sung two different ways: in a very basic singing of the verse and reference once through; and, in a more melodic version with repetition. The lyrics and music to both versions of this song are included in the unit resources. The audio versions to both versions are found on the Unit Music CD, with corresponding tracks listed in the curriculum.
